It really comes down to careful optimisation of the title and requires fiddling, extracting every little bit of performance for each console. And yet for 60 FPS on Xbox Series X we get the same resolution suggested for GTX 1060. If you check TechPowerUp’s GPU database, RTX 2080 Super is 230% faster than a GTX 1060 6GB. In official PC requrements table, it says GTX 1060 is recommended for 1080p. This game does not even use ray tracing so limiting resolution to 1080p for 60 fps is ridiculous. So yeah I’m a bit disappointed to know that to play it 60 FPS, I have to switch to a “performance mode” that drops the resolution down to what 1080p? (Blizzard doesn’t even mention it anywhere).
The GPU in inside Series X comparable to Nvidia RTX 2080 Super, a very decent and capable GPU in today’s standards and I’ve seen games that are much more demanding than Diablo II Resurrected to provide solid 4K 60p gameplay on Xbox Series X… Gears 5, Metro Exodus and Doom Eternal to name a few.
